I'll never understand the minds of art thieves, like how can you be happy with yourself taking something someone worked so hard for and just using it to scam other people for money. Sure, maybe you'll make a couple of dollars but is it really that rewarding knowing that people who genuinely love art, and probably saved their money for commissions are now getting nothing in return?
I'm going to assuming that since most deviants seem to be around my age or younger, they are not going to be super well off, and they don't just have money lying around. The fact that they appreciate someone's art enough to commission them is admirable and endearing. Who are you and how dare you take advantage of that.
Futhermore, artists take years to achieve art styles, what gives you the right to benefit from something someone has worked so hard for??? Even I have stayed up until morning, spent countless hours studying anatomy charts and other people's style to get to where I am now, and I am not the most hardworking/motivated artist by far. I can only imagine how much time and effort other artists have dedicated to accomplish what they have up till now. How can you take the compliments, admiration, money and attention someone else rightfully deserves??
What sort of high do you get from pretending to be someone you are not, how can you even respond to comments of admiration with a straight face and not feel guilty from it. How can you even write comments like "Wow, this took me so long!" Or "I am really proud of this piece!" when you never experienced the time and effort it took, how did you even feel "pride"?
It appalls me that people can do this without remorse. Have you never experienced injustice in your life? Have you never had anything taken away from you? If so, you are already living a blessed life and you should just appreciate that rather than hurting others.
If any of you who read this, is an art thief or even considered it for a second, I hope some of this makes sense to you.
If YOU (you know who you are) are reading this, I hope you find it in your heart to own up to your mistake and return all the money you've conned. You know deep down that it doesn't belong to you and if you had the guts to become an art thief, you should have the guts to admit it. It is much more admirable that way. People are forgiving, everyone makes mistakes and everyone can learn from them. But if you choose to avoid your own mistakes, the person who will be the most unforgiving in the long run is yourself.
